Here is a simple recipe for peanut butter cookies:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-inch ball and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Using a fork, press down on the dough balls to make a crisscross pattern.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy your soft and chewy peanut butter cookies! You can also add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the dough for a little extra flavor and texture.
